Information Society is delivering yet another strategically important project as part of the country’s digital transformation.
The “Extrovert Agriculture” programme, funded by the “Greece 2.0 – National Recovery and Resilience Plan” and implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Rural Development and Food and the Ministry of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, creates a modern digital ecosystem that connects Greek agricultural production with international markets and drives innovation to keep the agri-food sector competitive.
Using contemporary digital tools and new information systems, the project facilitates exports, boosts transparency and creates new opportunities to promote Greek products at a global scale.
As stated during yesterday’s presentation by the CEO of Information Society, Stavros Asthenidis: “This project illustrates how digital technology can act as a catalyst for growth in agricultural production, boosting internationalisation and creating new opportunities for Greek businesses and producers.”
The Minister for Rural Development and Food, Margaritis Schinas, highlighted: “Through ‘Extrovert Agriculture’, we are investing in a new operating model, according to which technology, data and transparency empower market confidence and safeguard the authenticity of Greek products. We want to offer Greek producers better tools, better access to markets and stronger leverage in the face of international competition.”
For his part, the Minister for Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, Dimitris Papastergiou, stressed the importance of technology as a valuable tool for the primary sector, noting that the project utilises modern digital solutions and data to meet the real needs of producers and enhance market efficiency.
Information Society continues to design, develop and implement projects that have a significant impact on the economy, on development and on the daily lives of citizens and businesses alike.
