At a time when sustainable development is a central axis for the transformation of the economy and public administration, Information Society Single-Member S.A., a model organisation of the Public Sector, which also operates as a Knowledge Centre for Digital Transformation and Sustainable Development, has launched a comprehensive education and information initiative around ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles.
Following the successful webinars, where more than 500 executives from Public Institutions and SMEs were trained on Sustainability issues, two specialised workshops were held, during which executives from institutions and businesses were taught sustainable development implementation practices.
Training with broad support
The ESG webinar cycle was completed with great success, confirming the strong interest from both the Public Sector and the business community.
A total of six (6) specialised webinars were held:
- Three (3) for Public Sector executives
- Three (3) for executives of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs)
Participation exceeded all expectations:
- 395 executives from the Public Sector
- 121 executives from SMEs
During the webinars, participants had the opportunity to delve deeper into:
- basic ESG principles and modern regulatory developments
- how sustainability correlates with the financing and operation of organisations
- practical tools and the best implementation practices
From theory to practice: Specialised workshops
Following the webinars, two specialised workshops were held at the Information Society offices, focusing on the practical application of sustainability.
The workshops were attended by executives from public bodies and businesses, who:
- went into greater depth on ESG implementation tools
- developed practical skills
- exchanged experiences and best practices
Through this process, a dynamic network of professionals is created who function as “sustainability ambassadors”, actively contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and the adoption of responsible practices.
The role of Information Society as a Knowledge Centre
Information Society reaffirms its role as a model Public Sector organisation and as a Knowledge Centre for Digital Transformation and Sustainable Development.
This specific initiative:
- was implemented under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence
- highlights the importance of education and information
- supports the transition towards a more resilient and sustainable production model
