Board of directors
The Members of the Board of Directors of IS S.A., have special knowledge and significant experience in relation to cutting-edge technologies, in matters of public administration and business administration, in order to contribute catalytically to the intended purpose of the company.
The Board of Directors of IS S.A., consists of nine (9) members, including the Chairman and the Chief Executive Officer and operates in accordance with the provisions, as they apply each time, of paragraphs 3 to 12 of article 24 of Law. 2860/2000, of article 32 of Law 3614/2007 of Law 4548/2018, of Law 3429/2005 except for Article 3 thereof, its Statute and in particular Articles 10-24 of its Rules of Procedure.

Dimitris Askounis
Professor of the National Technical University of Athens
Ο κ. Δ. Ασκούνης είναι Καθηγητής της Σχολής Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών και Μηχανικών Υπολογιστών του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου (ΕΜΠ). Διαθέτει πάνω από 25 χρόνια εμπειρίας στους τομείς πληροφοριακών συστημάτων υποστήριξης αποφάσεων, ηλεκτρονικού επιχειρείν, ηλεκτρονικής διακυβέρνησης, ανοικτών και μεγάλων δεδομένων καθώς και στην εφαρμογή σύγχρονων τεχνικών πληροφορικής στη διοίκηση επιχειρήσεων και οργανισμών.
Υπήρξε επιστημονικός υπεύθυνος σε πάνω από 50 Ευρωπαϊκά ερευνητικά έργα και έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολλά έργα και δραστηριότητες στις NIS και MEDA χώρες. Επί σειρά ετών διετέλεσε σύμβουλος του Υπουργού Δικαιοσύνης και του Ειδικού Γραμματέα Ψηφιακής Σύγκλισης για την εισαγωγή τεχνολογιών πληροφορικής και επικοινωνιών στη δημόσια διοίκηση.

Asthenidis Stavros
Electrical engineer
Mr. S. Asthenidis is an Electrical Engineer of NTUA with many years of experience in the analysis, design and implementation of IT projects. He has worked for a number of years in positions of responsibility of bodies such as EFEPAE, Committee for Organizing the Olympics in ATHENS 2004, Information Society S.A., etc.
He has been a consultant to the Special Secretary of Digital Design, the Special Secretary of PPPs the General Secretary of the Municipality of Athens, as well as CEO of the Development Company of Computerization and Business Units of local authorities (DAEM S.A.) of the Municipality. Since 2019 he holds the position of CEO in the Information Society S.A. (IS).

Giannis Konstantinou
Electrical and Compute Engineer
Dr. Giannis Konstantinou is Associate Professor at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of Thessaly, Director of the Video and Cloud Computing Technology Laboratory.
Dr. Konstantinou received the Diploma of Electrical and Computer Engineer from NTUA in 2004, the Postgraduate Specialization Diploma (Master) in Techno-economic Systems in 2007 from NTUA and the doctorate in Distributed Systems from NTUA in 2011.
His research focuses on the area of distributed large-scale data management systems (Cloud Computing and Big Data). He has published 56 papers in high-profile conferences and peer-reviewed journals in the field of systems and databases, and his research has received over 1350 citations (h-index 20) and an award for best scientific work.
He has participated and directed the successful submission, design and technical organization of numerous Greek and European Research Projects.

Katsouros Vassilios
Electrical and Compute Engineer
Mr. Vassilios Katsouros is Research Director at the Institute of Speech Processing (IEL) at the “Athena” Research Center. He graduated in 1992 from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, in 1993 he received the Master’s Degree in Distribution in Communications and Signal Processing (M.Sc. with Distinction in Communications and Signal Processing) from the Imperial College of the University of London and in 1997 his doctorate from the same University. He has been involved in research and development programs at national and European level, having the role of scientific director and coordinator.

Papageorgiou Elisabeth
Lawyer at the Supreme Court
Ms. Ε. Papageorgiou is a graduate of the Law School of the University of Athens, with a postgraduate degree in Public Law. Lawyer at the Supreme Court since October 2010, with extensive experience in Public-Private Partnerships, public procurement law and in the fields of energy, environment and privatization.

Papalamprou Evangelos
Lawyer at the Supreme Court
Mr. Ε. Papalamprou is a Lawyer at the Supreme Court, he has been practicing Law since 1995 until today. Holding a degree in Law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master’s Degree in Information Technology Law from the University of Southampton, Great Britain. Lawyer since 1997 at the Association of Information Technology and Communications Companies of Greece.

Marinakos Panagiotis
Member
PhD candidate at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. He works as an associate of the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports on digital transformation and simplification of procedures. Teaching member of the Training Institute of the National Centre for Public and Local Government on digital transformation and process simplification.

Tserpes Konstantinos
Computer Engineer
Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics and Telematics of Harokopio University. He graduated from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics of the University of Patras and received his doctorate from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA. He has demonstrated intense research activity in cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing and data analytics, having published more than 60 papers in international scientific conferences and journals and having participated and coordinated more than 15 collaborative research projects.

Michas Alexandros
Lawyer
Alexandros D. Michas is a graduate of the Law School of the Democritus University of Thrace and holds a Democritus University of Thrace Master’s Degree in “Modern European Studies: law, economics, politics”. He practises law in Athens since 2012, specialising in civil law and intellectual property law.
