Information Society Single-Member S.A. (‘Information Society’), confirming its role as a model sustainability body in the public sector, prepared and implemented the 1st Sustainability Report.
The report covers the year 2024 and reflects, for the first time in a systematic, innovative and documented way, the actions of ‘Information Society’ on environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues.
‘Information Society’ opted to prepare the report voluntarily, in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), demonstrating its commitment to transparency, accountability and sustainable development.
The Report records the policies, actions and performance of ‘Information Society’ at the three pillars of Sustainable Development:
- Environment: Implementation of environmental management systems and reduction of carbon footprint.
- Society: Promoting equality, inclusion and digital accessibility for all.
- Governance: Transparency, ethics, accountability and quality certifications at all levels of operation (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 26000).
The CEO of‘ Information Society’ Mr. Stavros Asthenidis stated:
“‘Information Society’ is leading the way in the sustainability of the public sector, linking technology to social progress and the environment. With transparency and responsibility, we are shaping Greece’s digital future with a perspective for future generations.”
The Sustainability Report 2024 was prepared on the initiative of the Communication and Sustainable Development Department. The Director Mrs. Eleni Dede pointed out: “The 1st ‘Information Society’ Sustainability Report marks the start of a sustained effort to improve the sustainability performance of ‘Information Society’ and lays the foundation for a greener, digital and inclusive public sector.”
