The 3rd Evaluation Cycle of GAIA‑X Accelerator is launching with an impressively strong response momentum

Athens, 2 February 2026 – Having already gathered over 100 applications expressing interest on the platform from the first two cycles, the 3rd Evaluation Cycle of GAIA‑X Accelerator is now underway.

The strong interest from SMEs, startups and entrepreneurial teams confirms that the market recognizes GAIA-X Accelerator as the “key” to entering the new data economy. Applications for the new cycle are now open, with the deadline to join the platform set for February 28, 2026. Interested parties may submit their application here.

The Greek GAIA-X Accelerator Hub for SMEs, implemented by the ‘Information Society’, a model organisation of the Ministry of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, is a strategic decision to create a strong national synergistic network, fully aligned with EU data standards.

Following the successful course of the first two cycles, the 3rd Cycle aims to attract new innovative teams from key pillars of the economy. The participating companies come from a wide range of sectors, with the main ones being Tourism, Education, Health & Biotechnology, Industry, and Information and Communication Technologies.

Through GAIA‑X Accelerator, Greek businesses receive tailored guidance and training to accelerate their integration into data co-exploitation ecosystems, based on European standards, in order to transform their ideas into mature, sustainable business proposals and to pursue international growth opportunities.

What GAIA‑X Accelerator offers for each interested group:

  • For SMEs, startups and business groups: Access to mentoring, coaching and consultancy, use of the online platform for training and networking, participation in thematic areas of cooperation and events that enhance extroversion.
  • For mentors: Entry in the Mentor Registry, participation in high-impact activities and cooperation with dynamic business groups.
  • For the market: Interconnection with the innovation ecosystem, access to new technologies and talent, participation in pilot projects and enhancing the corporate image.
  • For institutional and research bodies: Cooperation with businesses and the market, participation in research projects and thematic hubs, dissemination of policy orientations and good practices.

The GAIA-X Accelerator connects Greece with EU data infrastructures, ensuring transparency and security. At the same time, it activates a common innovation ecosystem that boosts national participation in Europe’s digital transformation.

Submission of applications:

Applications for the 3rd evaluation cycle of GAIA‑X Accelerator are now open. Apply here and be part of the digital transformation in Greece! The acceleration cycle has a duration of 4 months for each beneficiary business group, startup or SME from the date of entry in the register.

Applications to join the 3rd evaluation cycle are accepted until: 28 February 2026.
