Having noted increased demand from SMEs, startups and business teams, GAIA‑X Accelerator begins another evaluation cycle, giving businesses the opportunity to connect with the new data economy. For the 4th Evaluation Cycle, applicants can submit their application until 15 March 2026 here.

The strong market interest, with more than 150 applications on the platform so far, confirms that GAIA-X Accelerator is recognised as a ‘key tool’ for entering the European data ecosystem.

Through the GAIA‑X, companies from a wide range of sectors – such as IT, Tourism, Education, Health and Biotechnology – can receive personalised guidance and training to join data co-utilisation ecosystems, in line with EU standards, in order to translate their ideas into sustainable business proposals and compete for international growth opportunities.

The  Greek GAIA-X Accelerator Hub for SMEs, implemented by the ‘Information Society’, a model organisation of the Ministry of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, is a strategic decision to create a strong national synergistic network, fully aligned with EU data standards.

What GAIA‑X Accelerator offers for each interested group:

  • For SMEs, startups and business groups: Access to mentoring, coaching and consultancy, use of the online platform for training and networking, participation in thematic areas of cooperation and events that enhance extroversion.
  • For mentors: Entry in the Mentor Registry, participation in high-impact activities and cooperation with dynamic business groups.
  • For the market: Interconnection with the innovation ecosystem, access to new technologies and talent, participation in pilot projects and enhancing the corporate image.
  • For institutional and research bodies: Cooperation with businesses and the market, participation in research projects and thematic hubs, dissemination of policy orientations and good practices.

The GAIA-X Accelerator connects Greece with EU data infrastructures, ensuring transparency and security. At the same time, it activates a common innovation ecosystem that boosts national participation in Europe’s digital transformation.
