Mr Dimitrios Giantsis, General Director of Projects of “Information Society”, represented the company at the recent Delphi Economic Forum. Speaking about the “Information Society” actions, he stressed: “The national target set by the Government and the Ministry of Digital Governance is that by 2027, almost all services provided by the state to citizens should be digitised. This is our greatest challenge in the years to come.”
He referred extensively to the most important of the 240 projects currently being implemented by the “Information Society”, such as E-Justice, AIGIS and the digitisation of the State Archives, while he also explained how AI will help to minimise bureaucracy. Finally, he referred to the Gigabit Voucher and Smart Readiness programmes. As he said: “The household fibre connectivity rate exceeds 50% and will reach 60% by the end of the year. This is a dramatic increase compared to 0% in 2019.”
