The announcement of three more calls for the ongoing SYZEYXIS II project was made by the Information Society SA. The calls for tenders, with a total budget of €22.5 million, concern the Subproject “Mobile and Device Connections and Data Exchange Connections” for most of the specific needs specified in the Wireless Island project of SYZEYXIS II. In a very short period of time, 2 more additional calls will follow, with similar content and budget to the present ones.

In addition, the company is expected to announce next week 6 more tenders from the Framework Agreement of SYZEYXIS II “Security / telephony / teleconferencing / cabling infrastructures”, with a total budget of approximately €130 million, effectively completing most of the tender procedures of the project, in order to start the implementation of the remaining projects.

In the framework of the implementation of the three tenders of the Subproject “Mobile Telephony and Device Connections and Connections for Data Exchange”, the supply of mobile telephony and data services for public sector employees in geographical areas covered by the mobile telephony network of the contractors is included.

Three (3) different connection profiles are expected to be created in order to meet the different needs of the users of the Public Administration. The mobile telephony connection services will include a mobile telephony device for voice services and interconnection to the SYZEXIS II network at a fixed monthly cost and a prepaid airtime per month, which will vary depending on the benefits of the 3 connection profiles. The implementation of the three tenders includes 33,000 such connections and a corresponding number of devices, while a total of 55,000 connections have been specified.

In addition, these three tenders provide for the supply of 9,000 data connections (from 15. 000 that have been specified for the entire Wireless Island of SYZEXIS II) with the possibility of data exchange both within the SYZEXIS II Network (with internal applications of the Public Sector) and outside the SYZEXIS II Network (Internet) with the provision of Internet feed from the SIX Central Interconnection Infrastructure Subproject, as well as user support for requests related to the connections offered to them, for a period of three (3) years.
