The Information Society SA was appointed as the intermediate management body of the operation “Support for companies in the urban and intercity transport sector to adopt systems and provide integrated passenger information and e-ticketing services”
Following the relevant decision issued on November 29th (Government Gazette 4328/29/11), I.S. SA was appointed as the Intermediate Body and immediately starts the evaluation process of the investment projects of the relevant call, which had a deadline at 31/10/2019.
The objective of the operation is the modernization of the urban and intercity bus stations of the country with the adoption of systems and the provision of integrated passenger information and e-ticketing services.
The proposed operation is very important for all bus passengers, as the proposed system will improve the quality of the services provided. The urban and intercity bus operators will acquire integrated telematics and electronic ticketing systems for the comprehensive and integrated management of all telematics vehicle management functions, electronic ticketing and real-time multichannel passenger information, in line with the best practice standards of similar operators in Europe.
The Public Expenditure of the operation is co-financed by National Resources and the European Union and in particular by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Operational Programme “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation” of the NSRF 2014 – 2020, amounting to 16.200.000€.
