What is the object of the project?
The object of the project concerns the design, creation and operation of an integrated system that will support the issuance of the evaluation report of students with disabilities and/or special educational needs by the KEDASY. The application aims at the complete digital transformation of existing paper-based procedures (from the submission of the request to the issuance of the final decision), so that all services provided are performed digitally, utilising the appropriate interoperability with systems of involved Bodies and Services, where required.
The integrated information system will constitute a unified environment for recording – mapping – processing – administrative information, as well as a hub for collecting, managing and distributing information between the parties involved. To achieve the above, a new integrated information system will be developed, which will be able to interoperate with existing ones in order to extract the necessary information – where available – and to provide the appropriate supporting tools for its effective utilisation to all users involved.
The architectural solution proposed by the candidate Contractor should allow the modelling of the system as an integrated central IT infrastructure, which can be easily enriched with any additional functionality as a discrete information entity, which can be directly attached to it (using microservices architecture, indicatively).
In this way, a clear separation of subsystems and individual functional sections will be achieved, facilitating their modification or replacement, as well as the interconnection of new functions (for example, role access management subsystem, statistical data and report export subsystem, etc.). The object of the contract includes the provision of services for the implementation of the KEDASY information system, which will support the full cycle of request management for the evaluation of students with disabilities and/or special educational needs.
The services to be provided include, but are not limited to:
- Development of an integrated digital platform (web application) in a cloud environment
- Configuration of an access environment for all professionals involved in KEDASY
- Development of educational material for the education of all users
- Provision of training services in the form of seminars to key users
- Six (6) months of pilot operation support services
- Support services (Helpdesk) for six (6) months during the pilot operation and during the Warranty and “Good Operation” period which shall last three (3) years.
What are the purpose and objectives of the project?
The purpose of the project is to create an integrated and functional digital platform to support the more effective operation of KEDASY (Interdisciplinary Assessment, Counselling and Support Centres) throughout the country. The digital platform aims to modernise and digitise the processes for managing evaluation requests for students with disabilities and/or special educational needs, contributing to improving the speed of service, transparency and efficiency of the services provided.
In particular, the platform will support and optimise the following processes:
- The submission of evaluation applications with the possibility of electronic submission of the required documents
- The collection and management of relevant documents which are available in electronic format in various information systems
- The management and monitoring of the progress of evaluation requests
- The support of the cooperation of the involved professionals of the KEDASY during the evaluation process
These procedures are currently taking place in the seventy-one (71) KEDASY centres operating throughout the country
