What is the object of the project?
The object of the contract is to extend the functionality of the existing infrastructure in relation to both the smartphone app as well as the digital infrastructure and the required interoperability (Mobile application, digital server – side back-ends, enterprise integration and interoperability), in order to support the following functions:
- Issuance of the MyAuto Digital Card and reminders for the Technical Inspection of Vehicles (KTEO)
- Issuance of a Digital ID Copy for personal use, with the ability to share it.
- Application and interoperability improvements.
What is the main aim of the project?
The main aim of the contract is to enhance the digital wallet “Gov.gr Wallet” with new digital services and documents, facilitating the secure and fast interaction between citizens and the State or private entities. In particular, the following pillars are worth mentioning:
- Strengthening of the digital footprint of services: Either directly by activating various digital documents or indirectly by providing digital services that can be used by bodies in the public or private sector, the transformation of the State apparatus is strengthened, with the aim of improving the offer of user-friendly digital services focused on the needs of citizens and businesses.
- One app, many features: Gov.gr Wallet is transformed from a simple ID and driver’s license app into a multifunctional app that covers its original purpose, i.e. maintaining a digital dossier of digital documents, but it is also expanding by enabling advanced forms of interaction with public or private organizations in an easy manner.
- Ease of use: A key condition for the wide use of the app by all citizens is its ease of use. This was a main priority on which the productive “Wallet” app was based, and this should continue to be the case as more services and documents are added thereto.
- Data control: The privacy of the data of the app’s holder is a very important goal, which is achieved through the transparent use of the user’s data and the approval of the actions that have been requested through the app or by one of the bodies using biometrics or codes sent by SMS.
- Simplification of procedures: The procedures for the interaction between citizens and bodies can be simplified, with the aim of enabling the performance of various functions on the go, without the need for citizens to carry with them the necessary documents in paper form or to have access to a computer in order to perform or accept the digital interaction.
