What is the object of the project?
The object of the project is the implementation of a complex strategic plan for digital transformation which will enable it to upgrade its operational readiness and the services provided to all citizens of the country.
The main focus of this project is the implementation of the digital transformation actions planned under the national Civil Protection program “AIGIS”. In this program, the MCCCP has undertaken the implementation of this flagship action, which includes the full modernization of the body in terms of IT technologies and systems it uses.
What are the purpose and objectives of the project?
The proposed action will enhance operational preparedness and efficiency mainly in the areas of volunteer coordination as well as rapid recording, recovery and compensation of damage caused by natural disasters. It will provide a clear picture of the Civil Protection actions in which a volunteer group and its members can participate, giving the possibility of immediate intervention, as well as effective coordination of members per action.
In addition, depending on the need for rapid recovery from natural disasters and the immediate payment of compensation to the victims based on the experience of recent natural disasters, this information system will offer the possibility to digitize all relevant processes and functions.
What are the expected benefits of the project?
Complementary digital applications shall ensure compliance of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection with the European Personal Data Protection Regulation as well as the management of details of communication with citizens and businesses on issues related to the management and response to crises and natural disasters.
Furthermore, the use of modern digital tools and technologies will ensure support of the operational work of the General Secretariat for the Restoration of Natural Disasters and State Aid and the General Secretariat for Civil Protection, will enhance the operational functioning of modern volunteering, and will allow for early recording of losses and the performance of the aid provided in cases of natural disasters.
