What is the object of the project?
The object of the project is the design, implementation and productive operation of an integrated online communication system to meet the messaging needs of the Greek State with the citizens of the country, both within the framework of the services provided by the gov.gr portal, as well as the services provided by key Public Organizations related to the daily life of citizens and businesses, such as the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (IAPR), the e-Government Centre for Social Security (IDIKA), the electronic National Social Security Fund (e-EFKA), etc. Furthermore, the new communication channel that will be made available to the State through this project will provide large-scale possibilities for communication via electronic messaging, in order to meet both the existing needs of the Public sector, as well as the needs expected to arise due to the implementation of the single Digital Infrastructure for the Service of Citizens and Businesses
(CRMS) and other systems.
Specifically, the project will involve the following:
- Operational Implementation Study
- Security Study
- Interoperability Study
- Development of a central communication platform
- Development of a client application for end users on multiple platforms (Web / Android / iOS)
- Installation and configuration of a central platform in G-Cloud, posting of the end-user application on the respective mobile app distribution platforms (Play Store, App Store)
- Tracking and support system (HelpDesk – Call centre)
- Support and Training Services
- Pilot initiation services and test phase services
- Productive operation services
- Technical Assistance for the project
What are the project’s objectives?
The project has the following main objectives:
- The creation of an integrated solution for one-way electronic communication between the systems and services of the Greek State and the Greek citizens, in a seamless and secure manner
- The substantial reduction of costs for the Public Sector due to the gradual replacement of text messages (SMS) with multimedia messages via the Internet
- The creation of a new, innovative and secure contact channel to support the digital services provided by gov.gr, as well as the single Digital Infrastructure for the Service of Citizens and Businesses (CRMS)
- The satisfaction of the immediate needs of the Public Sector for text messages (SMS)
- The creation of a communication platform that will support further actions for innovation and for the integration of modern solutions to e-governance, using artificial intelligence and natural language processing (NLP)
