What is the object of the project?
The object of the contract is the procurement of equipment and software and the procurement/development of services for: a) enhancing the centralised computing infrastructures and b) supporting the operation of NECCA. - Network equipment (routers, switches)
- Safety equipment (firewall, equipment security systems)
- Power supply devices

- Workstations (Desktop, Laptop, Tablet)

- Printing/scanning devices (Plotter, Printer, Multifunction Printers)
- Teleconferencing systems
- Headlamp
- Paper shredders
- Supporting equipment
- Supporting Services:
- Installation and configuration of equipment
- Guarantee of good operation and technical support.
- Assistance in the management of information systems and electronic services implemented through them
- Training
- Monitoring the proper functioning of the systems
- Interconnection with G-cloud and the GRNET data network through NCSR DEMOKRITOS and upgrading the existing interconnection with new equipment.
- Development of applications and electronic services:
- Upgrading and enriching the Agency’s website by creating distinct microsites for Protected Areas, with the aim of displaying this information to the citizens of the country, promoting information and encouraging citizen participation.
What is the purpose and expected benefits of the project?
The aim of the project is to improve the operation of NECCA by upgrading the organization’s IT and communications infrastructure. Through the implementation of the project, NECCA expects to obtain the following key benefits:
- Creation of modern centralised computing infrastructures that will contribute to the digital transformation of NECCA.
- Improving and strengthening cooperation between the Central Office of NECCA and the Protected Area Managing Units (PAMUs).
- Creating a modern, digital work environment in which end-users, i.e. the staff of the Agency, will have at all times all the necessary tools available to make their daily work more efficient.
- Protecting the organization against security threats – Strengthening the operational continuity of NECCA.
