What is the object of the project?
The object of the project is the development and implementation of the Unified Information System for the Management of Real Estate Tax (RET), Cleaning and Lighting Tax (CLT) and Electricity Tax (ET), which will facilitate the optimization of the process of calculation, payment and control of the relevant fees by local government (OTA). The funding of the operation covers the design and implementation of a central RET-CLT-ET hub, the interconnection with OTA information systems and electricity providers, as well as the creation of auditing and interoperability tools.
What is the aim of the project?
The need to modernize local systems and design a hub for the management of RET, CLT, and ET is imperative in order to address the existing problems. The main objective of the new system is to simplify communication between OTAs and providers, providing security, real-time information and avoiding double entries and incorrect charges.
What are the expected benefits?
The expected benefits of the implementation of this action include, among others, the following:
- Providing a single solution for all OTAs.
- Timely and correct recording of changes in square meters, zones, years of permits, etc., within deadlines, without errors that burden the State or citizens.
- Accurate and valid calculation of RET, CLT and ET from local systems, taking into account all exceptions, without the need to use fictitious square footage.
- Control of the reimbursement of revenue from providers to municipalities through accurate data on calculations, deductions/exemptions, uncollected amounts and multiple accounts.
- Predictability in budgets based on actual collections from previous years for all municipalities.
- Full transparency in calculation, reductions and collections for both OTAs and citizens/businesses with personalised information.
- Fast and secure processing of applications for tax reductions and exemptions.
- Automated collection of uncollected amounts from providers.
- Immediate notification of OTAs about the agreement on the monthly settlement of multiple accounts.
