The ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape creates complex and increasing demands on public and private sector organisations, forcing the adoption of advanced technology solutions and risk management strategies. The intensification of the use of digital technologies combined with the escalating threat activity in cyberspace make the development of resilient information infrastructures with built-in mechanisms for prevention, detection and response to security events, critical. At international and EU level, a trend towards institutional strengthening of the cybersecurity framework is observed, with the adoption of national strategies and the introduction of binding regulatory requirements focusing on interoperability, operational continuity and compliance with information security standards.
The contracting authority, through this project, seeks to enhance its preparedness and responsiveness, by meeting the requirements of the new regulatory framework, substantially strengthening the defences of information systems and fostering a sustained culture of digital security and responsibility.
