What is the object of the project?

Object of the project is the creation of a special educational platform for the implementation of distance learning of personal assistants, so that they are successfully registered at the relevant Register

In accordance with the Joint Ministerial Decision 28458/2022(Government Gazette 1427/Β/24-3-2022) and the as of 23-09-2022 Call for Expressions of Interest for the registration and inclusion in the Register of Personal Assistants of Persons with Disabilities of the General Secretariat of Social Welfare and Fight against Poverty of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, in order for the Candidate Personal Assistants to definitively register in the Register, they must have successfully completed a training program, which should, as a minimum, include the following:

  • issues within the institutional framework of Personal Assistance;
  • rights of persons with disabilities;
  • key elements of disability and ways of support by type of disability.
What is the objectives of the project implementation?

The objectives of the project relate to the installation and operation of a Platform for the training of personal assistants, which will be able to support the following:

  • the visibility and promotion of the training programs
  • the application process to participate in training programs.
  • the application acceptance – rejection process to participate in training programs.
  • the process of posting and management of asynchronous training programs.
  • the process of adapting the content of asynchronous training programs.
  • the management of the learning paths of the participants in training programs.
  • the management of the learning paths within the training material with the requirement to meet specific conditions, related to performance on questionnaires.
  • the process of creation of self-assessment questionnaires with the completion of multiple choice questions of simple and multiple answers, fill-in-the gap questions, match columns, classification etc.
  • the management of questionnaires and questions;
  • the management of the number of questionnaire participation attempts of the time of participation, the provision of feedback, as well as the randomisation of the display order of the answers.
  • the recording of the course of the trainees within the training material (time, units, questionnaire results, attempts, time, etc.)
What are the expected benefits of the project?

The benefits expected from the implementation of this project are summarised as follows:

  • Installation, adjustment and operation of a specialised platform for the distance learning of the candidate personal assistants.
  • Creation of a permanent mechanism for the continuous training of the personal assistants and the persons, in general, wishing to practice the profession of caregiver.
  • Creation of the necessary infrastructure to conduct assessment and certification procedures.
  • Publication of reports regarding the course of the trainees at the training programs and the results of their participation in assessment procedures.
