What is the object of the project?

The object of the project is the extension and adaptation of the Information System developed for the National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme, as well as the provision of specialized support services, in order to meet the new operational needs of the Programme. As part of the contract, the vaccination programme procedures will be adapted accordingly and functionalities will be added for the requirements that have emerged during the last year. In particular, the possibility of vaccination in pharmacies will be added, which is expected to bring about many changes in the management of the vaccination procedure, in terms of both the scheduling of appointments by the pharmacist in consultation with citizens, and the supply chain. The Information System should be modified in order to accommodate additional functionalities and limitations and to provide the expected benefits to citizens and the National Health System. To support the whole project, specifications for the development of appropriate applications will be established and the necessary security and operational continuity mechanisms will be updated.

What is the aim of the project?

The aim of the project is to update the covid-19 vaccination platform for the new procedures implemented with the new vaccination sites to work, and to extend its scope to support vaccination for other diseases. These procedures require modifications in functionality and in ensuring data integrity for the whole new system.

What are the expected benefits?

The project aims to adapt the systems and infrastructure to support the vaccination procedure. In particular, the activation/deactivation of vaccination schemes for the planning and scheduling of vaccination sites is intended to support the procedure of continuous changes that occur according to the development of Greek and global epidemiological data.
