What is the object of the project?
The object of the contract is the development of a digital platform (database and applications) under the name “National Register of Pet Animals” for the implementation of Law 4830/2021 (A’ 169). This project aims at the full digitization of the regulatory framework for the welfare of pet animals – “Argos” program through the upgrading of the existing information system for the management of pet and stray animals and the addition of registers and digital control and service functions provided for by law.
The outcomes of the project will be put into productive operation on the government cloud (G-Cloud) and the responsibility for production operation will be assumed by the General Secretariat for Information Systems of Public Administration (GGPSDD). The project will create the necessary framework for digital services, interoperability services, back office applications, registers, information and reporting sites, through which all those involved in the implementation of the law will be able to provide or receive the necessary information and carry out the necessary treatments to meet the requirements of the law. Particular emphasis has been placed on the digital citizen services and the digital upgrading of the citizen’s relationship with the State on the welfare of pets, so that the digital multichannel platform of this project is the only central point of the citizen’s interface with the State for pet matters, through the single government portal gov.gr.
