General description of the Project

It is an aid programme to offset the cost of installing infrastructure in buildings in order to make them “smart”, in terms of their connection to public utility infrastructure. The programme will encourage a series of upgrades, including:

• the installation of fiber optic networks within the building in order to facilitate the provision of ultra-high speed broadband services in all common building areas;
• the installation of infrastructure for the future interconnection of utility network meters (electricity, natural gas) with the central point where the building’s electronic communications infrastructure is located;
• the installation of cable infrastructure connecting the utility meters (electricity and natural gas) with the central point where the building’s communications infrastructure is located. This way, the only thing still required will be to replace the respective meter with a smart meter (by the respective utility operator, when this is completed).

What is the object of this Project?

The object of the project is the provision of services to the Contracting Authority for the support, monitoring, coordination and management of all projects included in the framework of the Programme entitled “Infrastructure readiness for smart buildings (Smart readiness)”, as well as for the overall supervision of the works, the central administration of the Programme and the coordination of the parties involved. Once the programme is activated, a systematic approach must be followed in relation to its administration and supervision, so that the individual aspects of management, support and operation can function effectively. This requires coherent supervision and administration (Programme Management), in order to ensure more coherent management. A study on its compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and an impact assessment study for the protection of personal data will be prepared in the framework of the Sub-project.
