Two years have passed since the launch of gov.gr. The Single Digital Portal of Public Administration started by integrating 501 digital services and adding two new ones: the digital version of solemn declaration and authorisation. Today, gov.gr provides 1,370 digital services, facilitating the daily life of citizens and businesses. Specifically:
- 7,936,034 different citizens have used gov.gr, issuing at least one document or submitting an electronic declaration.
- 159,346,146 documents or declarations have been issued/submitted electronically
- 6,285,764solemn declarations and 2,189,684 authorisations have been issued
- 3,195,589 citizens are enrolled in the intangible prescription
- over 42% of prescriptions and referrals are issued intangibly.
Gov.gr is constantly evolving, improving and being updated based on the comments, suggestions and evaluations of the visitors. In fact, the percentage of citizens’ satisfaction with the question of whether the page, which describes each service, is useful, exceeds 95%. In this way, gov.gr approaches the initial goal every day: to become the digital service centre that will gather all the solutions and what citizens and businesses dealing with the State need to know. That is to say, it should be the one and only point of contact of citizens and businesses with the State.
The Minister of State and Digital Governance Kyriakos Pierrakakis stated: “It was March 21st, 2020 when gov.gr started its operation as the Single Digital Portal of the Public Administration, where citizens and businesses can find easily and quickly the digital services they wish. Today, the exponential increase in digital transactions reflects its convenience in the daily lives of all of us. We continue digitally, with the citizen in the spotlight, implementing every day a small change based on which we gain time and resources, we gain life”.
