“Digital Care”, with a total budget of 100,15 million Euros, has been an important tool in the Government’s strategic planning to strengthen tele-education during the period of the health crisis caused by the pandemic of coronavirus. Within the framework of the program, cheques of 200 Euros were distributed to approximately 500,000 pupils and students for the purchase of a tablet, desktop or laptop.
The award was received on behalf of Information Society by Mr. Dimitris Giantsis, General Manager of Projects and by Mr. Giorgos Koutras, head of the Digital Care program. The Ministry of Education was represented in the award by Mr. Alexandros Koptsis, Secretary General of Primary, Secondary Education and Special Education.
This is the second year in a row that Information Society has been recognized for its project at the Impact BITE awards, as last year it received a Gold award for 112.
