The new Minister of Digital Governance, Mr Dimitris Papastergiou, accompanied by the Deputy Minister, Mr Konstantinos Kyranakis, visited the offices of Information Society S.A. on Tuesday, July 4th. They were greeted by the President of Information Society, Mr Dimitris Askounis, the CEO Mr Stavros Asthenidis, as well as by company executives.
During their visit, the Minister and Deputy Minister had the opportunity to be thoroughly informed by Mr Askounis and Mr Asthenidis on the course of the projects and actions which are in progress.
Then, they gave their political mark regarding the immediate future and the necessity for the constant vigilance and readiness of Information Society, as it is the main hub in the planning, development and implementation of projects, which will strengthen the digital relationship between citizens and the Public Administration.
Finally, they toured the company’s facilities, talking with the executives of Information Society. The Minister of Digital Governance, Mr Papastergiou, as well as the Deputy Minister, Mr Kyranakis, before they left, noted their complete satisfaction with the visit and pointed out the decisive contribution of Information Society to the attempted “leap” of digital transformation that is underway. In fact, they underlined that, in their joint effort for even more digital projects, they consider the good cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Governance and Information Society to be essential.
