Information Society plays leading role in the implementation of the ambitious project for the creation of an Innovation hub for Digital Governance and the Acceleration of Digital Public Services (GR digiGOV-innoHUB). Upon its completion, the project is expected to enhance the development of the new generation of Public Services, which will utilize advanced digital technologies and services such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud services, high-performance IT systems and mobile Internet.
GR digiGOV-InnoHUB is to operate as a laboratory of digital technologies and to promote productive cooperation between the public, the private sector and the academic community. In the context of the project, Information Society has undertaken the creation of a Virtual Digital Market. The aim of the platform under development is to act as a point of contact, where public bodies that need new digital solutions meet with market entities or the research community that offer or can design such solutions. The needs of public bodies will be correlated with innovation proposals aimed at the gradual depiction of solutions in the Request for Proposal and Request for Interest configuration procedure. As part of the project, Information Society will undertake the design and procurement of pre-commercial contracts (PCP-PPIs) which will act as a pilot to create a Innovation Solutions Guide for IT and Communications Technologies for the Public Sector. The program was launched on 25-26 January at the Ministry of Digital Governance. The project involves 16 researchers from the research and academic community with the National Network of Technology Infrastructure and Research in the role of coordinator.
