The Information Society projects that modernise the Greek public sector<\/p>\n
The completion of the projects implemented by Information Society Single Member S.A. (IS S.A.) marks the end of the era of rigidity in the Public Administration and the beginning of a new, personalised and effective relationship with citizens. Equipped with cutting-edge technologies in the Cloud and the introduction of the first integrated CRM system, the Greek Public Sector is evolving into a modern, digital partner for the needs of citizens.<\/p>\n
As Dimitris Giantsis, General Director of Projects of IS S.A.<\/strong>, stressed, speaking at the Cloud Strategies Conference, the Information Society, drawing on 25 years of experience, is implementing two giant projects totalling 147 million euros. This is the G-Cloud Next Generation, funded by the NSRF, and the provision of centralised cloud computing infrastructure and Public Cloud services, funded by the Recovery Fund.<\/p>\n These projects, apart from modernising the government cloud to hybrid cloud computing standards, ensure the continuity of critical public sector information systems, achieve economies of scale and enable the development of new cloud services for the agencies. CRM: The citizen at the centre<\/strong><\/p>\n Referring to CRM, which is being implemented in the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan ‘Greece 2.0’ with the funding of the European Union – NextGenerationEU, he highlighted its key role and its expanded capabilities, stressing that it is not just a new information system, but the basis of a new philosophy of service and relationship between the citizen and the state. It is a single point where the data and cases of citizens and businesses will be collected, which will interoperate with the systems of the State, and automate procedures, allowing citizens to have a complete picture of all their interactions with the State and the progress of their applications.<\/p>\n At the same time, the system supports reverse communication through updates and targeted campaigns – also a new feature of the system. Access to CRM services is available through multiple channels: from the single call centre, via WEB on gov.gr and in person at the KEPs, offering a new service experience. Also, the CRM infrastructure easily integrates new technologies such as AI applications.<\/p>\n \u201cWith CRM, data and cases are gathered in a single environment, the service becomes uniform and personalised, and at the same time the system is interconnected with the information systems of the public sector agencies, eliminating bureaucracy. \nAs Mr Giantsis noted, the hybrid infrastructures that have been developed already host more than 400 systems of public sector agencies, some of them particularly critical for the operation of the Public Administration and the Health Sector.<\/p>\n
