\u2018Information Society\u2019 SA, the central hub of the Ministry of Digital Governance for the design, development and implementation of digital transformation projects in the Public Sector, is developing the ICT market ecosystem.

<\/h5>

With 24 years of expertise<\/b> and more than 150 programme<\/b> agreements for the period 2020-2024<\/b>, it made payments of \u20ac2.5 billion<\/b> for its 691 projects <\/b>(in various stages of maturity). A dynamic \u201ctool\u201d that aims to support the younger generation was launched on 3 July through the digital platform \u201cMarket Place\u201d. This is an innovative programme implemented by the \u2018Information Society\u2019 in cooperation with the Ministries of Digital Governance, National Economy and Finance and the Interior and connects young people aged 18 and 19 years old that are beneficiaries of the Youth Pass with offers and discounts from companies in the sectors of Tourism, Culture and Transport. <\/p>

In an affirmative but conditional manner, Greek startups are expressing a keen interest in participating in public innovation procurement and the resulting tenders that concern them. All that is needed is to further simplify the largely complex framework in which they are conducted, avoiding the usual bureaucratic constraints and generally time-consuming obstacles that characterise the European Union. <\/p>

SA\u201d (IS), being the central node for the planning, development and implementation of the Ministry of Digital Governance’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects in the public sector, assuming the role of pioneer in building a modern, efficient and accessible state for every citizen. In an interview with the Athens Macedonian News Agency, Stavros Asthenidis, CEO of \u201cInformation Society SA\u201d, outlines the company’s achievements, challenges and future goals, with emphasis on guaranteeing the security of citizens in the ever-evolving digital world. In the last five years, the \u201cInformation Society SA\u201d has successfully managed more than 300 public contracts with a total budget of almost \u20ac2 billion, thanks to the support of the Recovery Fund. “These numbers demonstrate our potential, however, we are not limited to achieving financial targets”, stressed Mr. Asthenidis. “We are undertaking important initiatives with a social dimension, such as the Power Pass, the Fuel Pass and Tourism for All, offering substantial support to citizens in need.”<\/p>
