Stavros Asthenidis, CEO of Information Society, recently spoke on Sky TV about the 440 million Euros program of the Recovery Fund to support the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). \u201cWe are launching a very important program entitled \u2018Give shape to your vision\u2019, which consists of three sub-programs. This first and foremost concerns digital tools for SMEs\u201d, he mentioned and described the process by which companies can receive aid in the form of a voucher for the purchase of equipment. For companies with up to 10 employees the amount of the voucher is 2,000 Euros, while for companies with up to 250 employees the voucher is determined at 20,000 Euros. \u201cIt is a simple process made through Taxis,\u201d Mr. Asthenidis commented and added that a premium is provided for businesses located in island or mountain areas. \u201cThrough this program, the purpose is to support 100,000 undertakings,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The second program is aimed at undertakings engaged in telecommunications and information technology for the development of new products and services which will subsequently be marketed as commercial products. Undertakings submit business plans and the subsidy ranges between 200,000 and 2 million Euros.
\nThe head of Information Society stated that \u201cThe third program is digital transactions and is also very important, as it concerns the replacement of POS and the tax mechanisms used by companies\u201d. He clarified that in this case, a voucher is provided for the supply of a new POS or a tax mechanism. \u201cThe objective is to develop tax compliance of companies\u201d, he said, adding that the program also subsidizes systems for the invoicing in progress. Closing his position, Mr. Asthenidis underlined that Information Society considers the digital transformation of undertakings that will contribute to the development and creation of new job positions to be an important purpose.<\/p>\n
