{"id":26668,"date":"2024-12-17T20:51:12","date_gmt":"2024-12-17T17:51:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ktpae.gr\/erga\/digital-transformation-of-the-register-of-tourism-enterprises-mydigitaltourism-gr-2\/"},"modified":"2025-03-04T12:33:32","modified_gmt":"2025-03-04T09:33:32","slug":"digital-transformation-of-the-register-of-tourism-enterprises-mydigitaltourism-gr-2","status":"publish","type":"erga","link":"https:\/\/www.ktpae.gr\/en\/erga\/digital-transformation-of-the-register-of-tourism-enterprises-mydigitaltourism-gr-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital transformation of the Register of Tourism Enterprises \u2018mydigitaltourism.gr\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5>What is the object of the project?<\/h5>\n<p>The object of the project consists in modernizing the existing Register of Tourism Enterprises of the Ministry of Tourism by developing a new flexible Information System for the Register of Tourism Enterprises (hereinafter e-\u039c\u0397\u03a4\u0395) and providing advanced online services to control tourism enterprises, as well as setting up the \u2018mydigitaltourism\u2019 digital platform and ensuring its interoperability with other public registers and systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This system will, among other things:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>provide comprehensive information to the economic operator concerned regarding all supporting documents\/procedures required to register its tourism enterprise in the Register and obtain an authorization for the enterprise or renew\/extend that authorization;<\/li>\n<li>supports the electronic transmission and sharing of necessary information between all parties involved (Regional Tourism Agency inspectors, other public authorities and private entities);<\/li>\n<li>supports the process for coordinated inspections on the infrastructure of enterprises carried out by authorized Regional Tourism Agencies (or other Ministry inspection bodies);<\/li>\n<li>allows citizens-visitors to search and check the official characteristics of each enterprise and submit complaints for consideration, if guests staying at an accommodation find out that their experience is other than promised or if they have complaints, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>What is the purpose of the project?<\/h5>\n<p>The purpose of the proposed project is to support the upgrading of the services provided by the Ministry of Tourism primarily by implementing a Single Electronic Register of Tourism Enterprises, which will be at the core of the \u2018mydigitaltourism\u2019 electronic platform, used to provide services to the Ministry\u2019s in-house staff, as well as to businesses and citizens. The information will be collected and integrated via the interconnection &#8211; interoperability with the primary systems in which registers of tourism enterprises to be included in the project are kept, as well via an interconnection with the Electronic Register of Tourist Ports provided for in Law 2160\/93 and direct communication with the corresponding pilot implementation thereof. The data derived therefrom should be both an input and an output of both. There will also be interoperability with systems of such organizations as gov.gr, GEMI and TAXISNET. Finally, provision has also been made for developing full interoperability with the \u2018NotifyBusiness\u2019 system. The setup and operation of a \u2018Single Register of Tourism Enterprises\u2019 \/ e-MITE will help reduce significantly the fragmentation of data related to tourism entrepreneurship, also facilitating \u2018doing business\u2019 and contributing to a number of the Ministry\u2019s critical objectives.<\/p>\n<h5>What are the expected benefits of the project?<\/h5>\n<p>The implementation of the Electronic Register of Tourism Enterprises (e-\u039c\u0397\u03a4\u0395) will help achieve the goal of eliminating red tape and allowing fast-track authorization of tourism-related investments via the interconnected \u2018Notify Business-\u039c\u0397\u03a4\u0395\u2019 functionality, combined with the provision of necessary data and structures that will allow the Ministry of Tourism to perform its functions seamlessly.
