More specifically, the contract includes the supply of goods and services falling under the following categories:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Hardware:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Active network equipment with a centralized management system (3\u00a0Backbone Network switches)<\/li>\n<li>Active network equipment (55\u00a0Access Network switches)<\/li>\n<li>Wireless network equipment with a centralized management system (88\u00a0wireless access points)<\/li>\n<li>Structured cabling (vertical and horizontal at 60\u00a0workstations)<\/li>\n<li>IoT and other Sensors (16\u00a0per category, temperature and humidity sensors, water detection sensors and door status sensors) 2. Support services:<\/li>\n<li>Implementation and feasibility study<\/li>\n<li>Supply of hardware and software<\/li>\n<li>Hardware installation and configuration services, integration of hardware in the Centralized Network Management System<\/li>\n<li>Migration of services from previous to new hardware<\/li>\n<li>Uninstallation of previous wired and wireless hardware (switches, routers, etc.) and structured cabling<\/li>\n<li>Proper operation and technical support guarantee<\/li>\n<li>Training services<\/li>\n<li>Help Desk services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are the purpose and objectives of the project?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the project is to upgrade and supply all necessary technological infrastructure of the user and backbone networks in the building of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports at 37\u00a0Andrea Papandreou St., 151\u00a080 Amarousion. The building houses almost all Ministry services, and its network infrastructure equipment has become outdated and technologically obsolete, thus now being at an \u2018End of Support and End of Life\u2019 status. Now it needs replacing, to allow Ministry services and employees to be supported by a state-of-the-art network infrastructure that comprises newer technology materials and techniques, is reliable, ensures higher data speeds and features a holistic automated centralized management system, thus streamlining their work experience and laying the foundation for any future technological solution that the Ministry might need.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims to improve the functioning of the central building of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports in Amarousion, by upgrading the Ministry\u2019s wired and wireless infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are the benefits of the project?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By implementing the project, the Ministry expects to obtain the following key benefits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Setting up a state-of-the-art network environment that will contribute to the Ministry\u2019s digital transformation.<\/li>\n<li>Streamlining and strengthening cooperation between the Ministry \u2018s Central Service and its regional units.<\/li>\n<li>Setting up a state-of-the-art digital work environment in which end users, i.e. Ministry staff, will have all necessary tools available at all times to make their daily work more efficient.<\/li>\n<li>Protecting the organization against security threats &#8211; Strengthening the Ministry\u2019s business continuity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The object of the project consists in supplying the required hardware and software and supplying\/developing services to meet the needs of users for networking and IP telephony services in the central building of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports.
