By training the target population to live independently providing appropriate personalized support services, the Independent Living Personal Assistant project aims at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>improving the functionality of the target population;<\/li>\n<li>implementing an effective deinstitutionalization policy and preventing institutionalization;<\/li>\n<li>enhancing social inclusion for all beneficiaries, so as to ultimately limit the number of people who will need future welfare support, as well as the intensity of that support;<\/li>\n<li>improving the employability prospects of the beneficiaries and the relatives of the beneficiaries.
